Connect your store once, choose order lookup and/or product recommendations, and enable Actions per agent — verified tracking plus live catalog answers from Shopify.
How it works safely
Built for support, not for scraping stores
Capability-based OAuth
At Connect you choose Order lookup and/or Product recommendations. Gup only requests the read scopes needed for that selection (orders/fulfillments and/or products/inventory). Tokens are encrypted at rest; you can add capabilities later by reconnecting.
Verify before any order data is returned
Visitors do not log into Gup. A Track an order form (or chat, if guided mode is off) collects order number and checkout email; we only return status and tracking when those match the Shopify order. Failed checks get a generic response so we never leak whether an order exists for another email.
Per-agent control
The shop connection is workspace-wide. Order lookup and product recommendations are enabled per agent (on by default for ecommerce). Toggles only apply when the matching capability was granted at Connect.
Read-only by design
We return fulfillment status, tracking, line items, and catalog recommendations (prices, links, coarse availability) — not refunds, cancellations, address changes, or gift cards. Writes stay off until verification and confirmation flows are stronger.
Audit without oversharing
Action runs are logged in redacted form for your team (what ran, success or deny). We do not sell shopper data or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy and DPA for processor terms.
Merchant confirmation at connect
Before OAuth, admins confirm they authorize access and agree to Gup’s Privacy Policy, Terms, and DPA. You remain responsible for shopper-facing notices required for your store.
